When time's short, this easy smoked mackerel pate makes a sensational starter or even a tasty quick meal. A delicious way to eat more of those heart healthy omega-3 fats.
Ingredients
160g smoked, peppered mackerel fillets
100g fat free Quark
0.5 tbsp capers
1 tbsp hot horseradish sauce
1 tbsp lemon juice
5g fresh parsley (or 1 tbsp frozen chopped parsley)
Ground black pepper
Method
Remove the skin from the mackerel fillets.
In a food processor whiz all the ingredients together.
Scrape into a serving bowl and season with ground black pepper.
Serve with toast.
