Specialised Services Commissioning Policies published

Each year, NHS England makes decisions on which new specialized treatments should be included for routine commissioning. The decisions are taken by the Specialised Services Commissioning Committee, based on recommendations from the Clinical Priorities Advisory Group (CPAG) made up of doctors, health experts and patient representatives and the Specialised Commissioning Oversight Group (SCOG). For each financial year, the prioritisation process is now run twice; once in November and once in May.

Policies approved in the November round will be funded from 1 April 2019. A full list of the policies considered and the outcome was published on 21 December and can be found on the NHS England website
