Current Dietary Management of Adults with Familial Chylomicronaemia Syndrome
FREE Webinar: Thursday 24th November 2022, 1–2pm
Familial Chylomicronaemia Syndrome (FCS) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder, characterised by severely raised fasting triglycerides. Dietary management is the mainstay of treatment and involves a very restricted fat intake to maintain triglyceride concentrations below 10 mmol/L (885 mg/dL). Based on the current practice of Dietitians working with FCS, a consensus has been published to provide clear dietary recommendations for managing FCS.
Come and join us in this free webinar to learn more about FCS and the dietary recommendations, including the practical applications. We are delighted to have Professor Handrean Soran, Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist at Manchester University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Sarah Firman, Specialist Dietitian, Adult Inherited Metabolic Diseases at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust presenting on this rare disorder.
This webinar is open to all health professionals who have an interest in lipid disorders.
