Familial Chylomicronaemia Syndrome (FCS)
FCS is a rare autosomal recessive disorder, characterised by severely raised fasting triglycerides. Dietary management is the mainstay of treatment and involves a very restricted fat intake to maintain triglyceride concentrations below 10 mmol/L (885 mg/dL). Based on the current practice of Dietitians working with FCS, a consensus has been published to provide clear dietary recommendations for managing FCS.
