Practicalities of Diet & Lifestyle in Lipid Management
Session 1: Panel Discussion Considering Dietary Aspects Impacting Lipid Results
Using case studies with different lipid scenarios, the Panel will provide insights into the nutritional aspects needing to be considered when evaluating lipid results, along with practical dietary recommendations to give to patients.
Session 2: Putting this into Practice – HEART UK’s CVD Diet Checklist
All guidelines for lipid management recommend advising on a heart healthy eating pattern. However, this can be achieved in a variety of ways. To address this, HEART UK has designed a Cardiovascular diet checklist to help assess the quality of a patient’s diet and determine where improvements can be made. This session will highlight the development of the tool and the practical applications.Speaker TBC.
